Okay so I've got the bug now. I started looking through the ubiqitous
google search at what other people have out there in the terms of standards, and I have come to the simple conclusion.
There's not much on Why?Even if we focus on a simple issue like variable naming(*) then there are many touchy feeling This is what you should do articles but very few This is why you should do it. So let's have a quick go down the list. (This isn't in the order of google by the way, but rather allows me to tackle issues one by one).
